The summit featured exhibits, plenary sessions, and keynotes that emphasized the city’s direction in building resilient communities through innovation and multi-sectoral cooperation. Representatives from ECOP, PHILEXPORT, PCCI, and DTI delivered messages of solidarity, aligning with the summit’s goals of fostering competitiveness, job generation, and community empowerment.
Mayor WES Gatchalian addressed the delegates by outlining Valenzuela’s continuing efforts in three major points: flood resilience, peace and order, and transportation infrastructure. He highlighted the city’s infrastructure investments aimed at mitigating floods, the modernization of peace and order, and the integration of national transport projects such as the Metro Manila Subway and the North-South Commuter Railway, which are set to enhance mobility and economic activity across the city.
