Valenzuela City, through the City Health Office, recognizes the outstanding health employees on the field for the 2nd quarter in a ceremony themed, "Magaling na Paglilingkod, Kayamanan ng Lungsod." Conducted at the City Social Hall on July 30, 2013, this recognition targets to honor employees who serve as effective instruments in delivering healthcare services to the people.

On the celebration of the Barangay Health Workers' 25th anniversary, the "pillars" of the institution were recognized in a rite concluded on August 1, 2013 at the Social Hall.

The City Government of Valenzuela acknowledges CDO Foodsphere Inc. and its Odyssey Foundation, the city's outstanding nutrition partner in providing nourishment to less fortunate Valenzuelanos. The foundation was represented by its Senior Project Coordinator, Mr. Simeon Mallari, who stood as one of the judges in the Search for the Best Urban Garden.

Mayor REX T. Gatchalian, together with City Health Office OIC Dr. Jaime Exconde Jr. and Coun. Marlon Alejandrino award the certificate of recognition to a barangay health worker for being an integral part in making the city's healthcare services visible and effective.

Josephine Ignacio of Brgy. Pasolo is the outstanding nutrition scholar (for the year 2012).
