Valenzuela City Mayor WES Gatchalian leads the distribution of school supplies for 2,100 Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners in the city, October 11, 2022, at Event Center. The local government started including ALS enlistees to the list of students being given school kits in 2016. It didn’t stop even during the surge of Covid-19 pandemic. Seven years hence the program has helped thousands of out of school youths and adults to return to formal schooling.
