The Valenzuela City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) starts the distribution of the newest Solo Parent ID, at the Valenzuela City People’s Park from October 11-14, 2022. With the new cards, come new benefits for Solo Parents. Under RA 11861 which amended RA 8972 or the Solo Parents’ Welfare Act of 2000, solo parents earning a minimum wage or below will receive a monthly cash subsidy of Php 1,000 from their respective local government units. Those who are earning less than Php 250,000 annually are also entitled to a ten percent (10%) discount and exemption from the value-added tax on basic commodities.
