As part of the celebration of Buwan ng Wika, City Government of Valenzuela fully supported the Valenzuelano children ages 0 to 4 years old through "Booklatan Valenzuela: Manguna sa Unang Pagbasa ng mga Bata" workshop at the City Astrodome, August 16, 2013.

One hundred fifty children along with their parents joined the event to vitalize early learning skills and capabilities of toddlers.

Parent volunteers also joined the workshop in an hour playgroup part to expose the children in an enjoyable advance learning session through reading and playing while parents are taught on storytelling and different techniques in child's early education.
