In celebration of the 396th Foundation Day of Valenzuela City, Mayor REX Gatchalian leads the launching and blessing ceremonies of the Botika ng Bayan (BnB) in Valenzuela City Emergency Hospital - Out-patient Department (VCEH-OPD), November 15, 2019.

The Botika ng Bayan program will run in partnership with the Department of Health. It will provide access to free essential medicines for common diseases in the community targeting indigents and the marginalized sectors of the city.

With the BnB program, essential medicines available for common diseases in the community, like infections, skin ailments, asthma and chronic non-communicable diseases. The BNB medicines consist of antibiotics, topical ointments, anti-thrombotic, anti-inflammatory, vitamins, antacids and other essential drugs for asthma, hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia.

The event is graced by DOH Pharmaceutical Division Chief Anna Melissa S. Guerrero MD, MPH (HTA), DOH Medical Officer IV Dr. Tess Rivera, City Councilors Chiqui Carreon, Louie Nolasco, Niña Lopez and Jonjon Bartolome.
