Valenzuela City relaunches Valenzuela City Reading Camp in partnership with Synergia Foundation at Canumay East Elementary, on Monday, August 8, 2022. Mayor WES Gatchalian expressed the importance of Reading Camp as preparation for the face-to-face classes. After two years of program hiatus because of the pandemic situation, now it will start a resume from different schools around Valenzuela. Mayor WES challenges every student who will finish this program with perfect attendance will have worth, Three Hundred Pesos (P300) gift certificate to Jollibee.

Reading Camp offers a meaningful program for youths in the community for them to recall and recover from learning losses brought by the pandemic. It aims to reinforce to the students the joy of reading and love for learning.
