With the nearing opening of face-to-face classes, Valenzuela City Mayor WES Gatchalian gives a message of support and tackles the proposed projects suited for the city’s students at the ALERT Multi-purpose Hall, August 8, 2022. During his speech, Mayor WES discussed the 700-million budget that the city government of Valenzuela allocated from the local school board. The Chief Executive vows to continue making Valenzuela City the best when it comes to education to its residents. Mayor WES assured he will continue supporting the Education 360 Degrees Investment Program and will conduct an Educational Summit scheduled this month to create unique projects that meets the needs of the teachers and students. Students from Roberta De Jesus Elementary School, Barangay Bignay, Valenzuela City enthusiastically fall in-line for Reading Camp, August 9,2022. Reading Camp is a city’s program with an intention to help students to read from August 8 to 19, 2022. For the year 2022, Brigada Eskwela includes several component, such as the Brigada Pagbasa. Valenzuela Reading Camp is an after-school remediation program; tutorial outside the regular curriculum; and an after-school reading program that will help the children get-along with the day-to-day lesson. This is the City’s answer to the call. This is part of Valenzuela city’s preparation for the Department of Education (DepEd) Order No. 34 that orders the official resumption of classes on August 22, 2022. (Kaye Magno, Photo/Text)

After the Division of City Schools of Valenzuela Brigada Eskwela Kick-off on, August 8, 2022, a volunteer parent from Roberta De Jesus Elementary School, Barangay Bignay, Valenzuela City volunteers to help prepare the classroom chairs. He is also a member of Parent-Teacher Association. According to Schools Division Office of Valenzuela City, they have a large number of PTA active members.
