The Veterinary Services Office takes charge of regulating domestic animals, improving the quality of livestock, poultry and domesticated animals, and monitoring the operation of slaughterhouses. The office oversees the Valenzuela City Pound and safeguards animal rights. To protect public health, the veterinary division implements necessary measures and programs to combat against animal diseases such as rabies and to ensure that commercial meat products are fit for human consumption.
