The Department of Health- National Capital Region Office awarded the City Government of Valenzuela the Newborn Screening Exemplary Performance Award for its consistent exemplary performance in helping the government improve the health of Filipino children through newborn screening.

Metro Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MMDRRMC)  Office of the Civil Defense - National Capital Region (OCD-NCR)  Awarded to Valenzuela City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (VCDRRMO) - Urban Search & Rescue Unit for maintaining an outstanding system of operations and facilities in place, which allows rescue personnel to respond at the soonest possible time without jeopardizing both their and the client’s safety.
