Department of Information and Communications Technology The award recognizes local chief executives who are pioneering the adoption and strategic use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to enhance the delivery of government services, improve revenue/tax collection efforts, hasten business permits application and renewal processes, and to promote transparency in government operations.  

Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) recognized the Valenzuela City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) as the best PESO in the Philippines for the year 2017.

The Department of Health recognized the Valenzuela City Jail Male Dormitory for being 100% Tobacco Free. The government offices and facilities are being judged based on their comprehensive campaign against smoking.

The Department of Interior and Local Government For valuable contribution in pursuing local economic development through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with the implementation of the Valenzuela Town Center.  

Metro Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MMDRRMC)  Office of the Civil Defense - National Capital Region (OCD-NCR)  Awarded to Valenzuela City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (VCDRRMO) - Urban Search & Rescue Unit for maintaining an outstanding system of operations and facilities in place, which allows rescue personnel to respond at the soonest possible time without jeopardizing both their and the client’s safety.  

Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) recognized the Valenzuela City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) after garnering an overall rating of 97%, making it the Best PESO in NCR for 2017.

The Office of the President- Cooperative Development Authority Manila Extension Office awarded the Valenzuela City Cooperative Development Office as the 1st runner up in the Best Performing Local Government Unit-CDO Awards in NCR.

In recognition of Valenzuela City’s collection efficiency, having been ranked Top 1 among the local government in the National Capital Region, given by the Bureau of Local Government Finance.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources- Environmental Management Bureau- NCR awarded Valenzuela City as the Best Local Government Unit Partner for Adopt an Estero Project.
