To acknowledge their efforts and exemplary academic performance, the City Government of Valenzuela granted financial incentives to thirty-four (34) Latin honors of Valenzuela Technological College or ValTech; distributed at the City Hall, July 16, 2024.

Continuing the tradition, a total of Php 51,000 financial grant was awarded by the City Government of Valenzuela to 34 Cum Laude graduates of Valenzuela Technological College as an incentive for their academic attainment.

Under Ordinance no. 1109, Series of 2023, each Cum Laude graduate student of ValTech shall receive a financial incentive amounting to Php 1,500 courtesy of the City Government. Also provided in the aforementioned ordinance that Summa Cum Laude graduates are entitled to receive Php 2,500, while Magna Cum Laude graduates shall receive Php 2,000 accordingly. This ordinance applies only to city-funded educational institutions such as Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela (PLV) and Valenzuela Technological College (ValTech).

On the day of the distribution, Mayor WES Gatchalian expressed his warmest congratulations to the ValTech graduates for their excellent work from the recently concluded academic year.

Running on its second year, the awarding of cash incentives to deserving honor students is one of Valenzuela City’s avenues of appreciating and commending their noteworthy achievements and inspiring other students to always strive for excellence in their studies. This additional financial grant shall also aid these students with their other needs.

As the city places high regard on quality education, the City Government continuously works on numerous ways to assist every student’s needs while also recognizing their perseverance and hard work toward their academic endeavors.
