Starting December, application for a student license, renewal of driver’s license, application for birth certificate, marriage certificate, death certificate, and certificate of no marriage (Cenomar), will be available at the newly inaugurated Project Ayos Center located at the 3rd floor of COMELEC building, barangay Malinta, Valenzuela City.

The partnership between the City Government of Valenzuela and Land Transportation Office (LTO) is the first of its kind in the country.  With this setup, the City Government provided the facility, computers, and the internet connection to be used in the LTO satellite office, “we have established 17 outlets at different malls in NCR, but it’s only for the first time that we’ve partnered with a Local Government Unit,” shared LTO-NCR Regional Director Atty. Clarence Guinto during the inauguration and blessing of the facility today, November 14.

Alongside the vision of bringing government services closer to people, the City Government also signed a Memorandum of Agreement with LTO which allows Valenzuela residents to submit medical certificates issued by Barangay Health Centers or the City Health Office. This cuts out the usual medical certificate fee of PhP 350, “for the Valenzuelanos, especially our jeepney and tricycle drivers, 350 pesos is already a huge amount.  What we want is not only to bring these services near you, but also make it more pocket-friendly for you,” said District 1 Councilor Ricarr Enriquez and Project Ayos Action Officer.

On the other hand, Philippine Statistics Authority Interim Deputy National Statistician Atty. Lourdines C. Dela Cruz commended the local civil registry of Valenzuela for having the same amount of fees with the national agency.

With the Project Ayos Center, application for basic government documents will be fast, convenient, and in one place.  It will be open on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Furthermore, Professional Regulatory Commission satellite office will soon be added to the Project Ayos Center to serve Valenzuelano professionals.

The inauguration and blessing of the Project Ayos Center is part of the celebration of the 395th Foundation Day Anniversary of Valenzuela City.
