Carrying on with the objective to provide quality and affordable spaces for Pamilyang Valenuelano, Valenzuela City Mayor WES Gatchalian led the successive blessing and inauguration of two establishments – Eden Malinta WES Events Center and Lawang Bato WES Events Space – on September 26, 2023. 

The newly-opened Lawang Bato WES Events Space is a 555-square-meter wide facility that serves as an additional space that could cater various events and occasions. In its extent, this state-of-the-art facility can accommodate more than 100 people, in case of holding a big event such as weddings, debuts, baptisms, among others. It houses amenities and utilities to provide a better event experience apart from convenience.

Moreover, in the inauguration of the said facility, Mayor WES spearheaded the oathtaking of the freshly-elected officials of several organizations and Homeowners Associations (HOA) from the city's 1st and 2nd District. On top of that, he also reminded them to value the position they hold as they play a vital role in continuing the progress instituted in the city.

In his message during the event, Mayor WES shared the drive of why he came up to build another event place for the people. He said that since the Dalandanan Events Place was opened, it has been crowded with bookings, so the list and reservations of the place are always full, which is why some of those hopefuls to hold an event there were not accommodated. With that same reason, he thought of building additional spaces in order to cater to a greater number of people. “Noong binuksan po natin ‘yung sa Dalandanan, doon ko po na-realize na hindi na po nahinto ang booking [doon], tuloy-tuloy na po hanggang December. Kaya po mayroon pa po tayong itatayong ibang establishments na gaya nito,” he said. [When we opened the one in Dalandanan, that's when I realized that the booking there had not stopped, the place was occupied until December. That's why we have yet to build other establishments like this].

On the other hand, EDEN Malinta WES Events Center was also inaugurated concurrently. It has a total floor area of 1,400 square meters that highlights a two-story multi-purpose hall with parking spaces and a durable wooden basketball court where relevant events can be held also. 

These two newly-inaugurated events centers are part of the local government’s flagship project called Proyektong Kakaiba which aims to provide modernized and high-class facilities for the benefit of the Pamilyang Valenzuelano. 

Also gracing the momentous events were Vice Mayor Lorie Natividad-Borja and the members of the city council.
