Sama-samang Saya para sa Inklusibong Pamilyang Valenzuelano!

Bringing Christmas joy to our Valenzuelano children with special needs this holiday season, the City of Valenzuela celebrates the annual “SNED Holiday 2024” at the Valenzuela City People’s Park Amphitheater, on December 4, 2024.

Valenzuela City proves that Christmas is for the children through its celebration of the Special Needs Education (SNED) Holiday 2024. SNED Holiday is an annual Christmas party dedicated to children with needs; gathering them with their parents and teachers into one, big celebration.

More than two thousand learners with disabilities (LWDs) from the Valenzuela Special Needs Education Center and different public schools in Valenzuela City brought their skills and talents to the stage through their Christmas-themed performances. Parents and SPED Teachers also showcased a dance performance. Designed to make the show more accessible and inclusive to the audience, a sign language interpreter also took the stage.

Taking the celebration up a notch, the City Government of Valenzuela also provided various gift packs to all participants. The city officials also handed out gifts through a raffle draw.

Mayor WES Gatchalian expressed his holiday wishes to SNED students and restated the City Government’s commitment to fostering the children’s welfare through inclusive and accessible services on child protection, ensuring that their rights are always taken with the utmost consideration.

Vice Mayor Lorie Natividad-Borja, Mayoress Tiffany Gatchalian, 1st Congressional District Programs Director Kenneth Gatchalian, represented by his spouse, Mrs. Anneth Gatchalian, Councilors Sel Sabino-Sy, Niña Lopez, Louie Nolasco, Chiqui Carreon, Atty. Bimbo Dela Cruz, and Dra. Kat Martinez joined the children in the grand Christmas celebration.

Demonstrating the theme “Inclusion is within Everyone’s Ability”, the City of Valenzuela champions children with special needs by ensuring an inclusive, nurturing, and respectful environment for these children to thrive. The City is prepared to assist the youth in their development; as they navigate their way toward building their unique individuality.

Every child is worthy of love, care, and understanding no matter what circumstance they are in — and they always deserve to be celebrated.
