Barangay Malanday got a bigger event venue as Valenzuela City Mayor WES Gatchalian led the inauguration of the newly-built Malanday Multi-purpose Hall, October 22.

The Malanday Multi-purpose Hall is an addition to the existing facilities in Valenzuela City. It measures about 650 square meters and can accommodate 50 and more people. Inside the Multi-purpose Hall, there stands a basketball court, a stage and a mini-office for the staffs and officials of Barangay Malanday. This newly-built structure will serve as a space to hold events and gatherings in Barangay Malanday. The goal of this initiative is to give them their own hall so that they don't have to worry about finding a venue every time they have an activity.

Mayor WES showed his full support as he personally led the official opening of the Multi-purpose Hall. He was accompanied by 1^st District Councilor Ricar Enriquez on a thorough inspection of the said newly-built establishment during its inauguration, picturing the whole area and see if there are still other facilities that can be added.

Coinciding with the inauguration is a medical mission which benefitted the residents of Barangay Malanday. Among the medical assistance they’ve received were free medicines, health consultations for parents and children, free eye check-up and free eyeglasses, and free pediatrician check-up.

Meanwhile, under construction next to the Multi-purpose Hall is a three-storey WES Events building with a total floor area of 315 square meters. It is set to open in the first quarter of 2023. These facilities are still part of Mayor WES’ projects funded when he was still a Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
