A bigger and modern finance building is expected to rise as the old finance building was officially dismantled, recently.

Being one of the cities in NCR with the fastest-growing population in the 2020 Census of Population, with around 714,000 Valenzuelanos, many have built businesses around the city.

Outgoing Mayor REX with the help of the National Government through Senator WIN Gatchalian, acquired funding for the demolition of the old Finance Building, the Gusaling Geronimo S. Angeles, to make way for a new, bigger, better, and modernized building that will cater to the needs of the Valenzuelanos in terms of business generations and to serve the taxpayers better.

According to City’s Architect Glenn Encarnacion, the new finance building will be a seven (7) storey building with a Mediterranean façade. This new building will cover a total land area of 1300 square meters per floor, almost doubling the old building area which was 745 square meters only. The finance building is expected to be completed in 2024, with a total budget of PhP 391 Million.

Outgoing Mayor REX asked for apologies to Valenzuelanos for some of the services of the offices at the Finance Building being halted on July 1 because of their physical transfer to the new temporary workplace, “Humihiling ako ng paumanhin at pang-unawa sa lahat, pansamantalang maaantala ang mga serbisyo, pero hindi ibig sabihin ay titigil”,(I apologize and ask for your understanding, services are temporarily delayed, but that doesn't mean it will stop), he said.

Starting July 4, the offices of the Finance Building, the Treasurer’s Office, Assessor’s Office, Geometrical Information System – Data Management Office (GIS-DMO), Office of the Building Official (OBO), and City Business Inspection and Audit Team (CBAT) will tentatively be at the Annex 1 Building of ARCA North Center.

While the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), Local Civil Registry, Zoning Office, and City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), will temporarily be relocating to Annex 2 Building of the same establishment.

The ARCA North Center is located at 286 Mac Arthur Highway, Karuhatan, Valenzuela City, beside NLEX Karuhatan Entry.

The ceremonial dismantling was led by outgoing Mayor REX with the City Department Heads in Finance Building, and engineers from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
