In a fitting ceremony, the City Government of Valenzuela headed by Mayor WES Gatchalian led the awarding and distribution of Android tablets to Latin honor graduates of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela (PLV) and Valenzuela City Polytechnic College (ValPoly) at Valenzuela Town Center – Town Hall on August 8, 2022.

The Android tablets served as a token of appreciation for the excellent achievement of the young Valenzuelano graduates and is in compliance with the City’s Education 360 Degrees Investment Program which aims to produce more Valenzuelano achievers in various fields and industries.

Mayor WES also took advantage of the event to lay out his future plans for the education sector of Valenzuela City. According to him, his administration plans to make the Education 360 Degrees Investment Program stronger by making curriculums that will connect the basic education to the higher education to make Valenzuelano graduates fully equipped and ready to join and excel in various industries in the community. He also mentioned the currently being constructed new Parada campus for the Valenzuela City Polytechnic College (ValPoly) to promote stronger innovation units as a preparation for a software development curriculum for young Valenzuelano dreamers.

Mayor WES congratulated all the graduates and said “I wish you all the best, and sana when the time comes, na makita ko kayo sa labas, ay nasa magandang posisyon kayo sa buhay at na-fulfill ninyo ‘yung dreams niyo na maging engineer, doctor, lawyer, accountant. Wherever you go, dala dala ninyo ang bandila ng Valenzuela. Time will come na marami sa inyo ang sikat na, tanyag na, kumikita na nang malaki, sana ay huwag ninyo kalimutang bumalik kung saan kayo nanggaling, tumulong tayo sa komunidad natin sa sarili nating paraan dito sa Valenzuela. Tandan ninyo, Valenzuela is very proud of you.” [I wish you all the best and I hope that when the time comes, I would see you in good positions in life, and that you were able to fulfill your dreams of becoming engineers, doctors, lawyers, accountants. Wherever you go, you carry the flag of Valenzuela City and time will come that several of you will be famous and will earn a lot, I hope you don’t forget to come back where you came from, help your community in your own means here in Valenzuela City.]
