Valenzuela City under the leadership of Mayor WES Gatchalian takes center stage in healthcare excellence as the Department of Health - Metro Manila Center for Health Development (DOH-MMCHD) applauds the achievements of the City Funded program for the Barangay Health Workers (BHW) during the Program Implementation Review, held from September 26-28, 2023, at the Bayleaf Hotel in General Trias, Cavite.

The focus of the event was on the remarkable accomplishments of Valenzuela City's BHWs under the Valenzuela City Health Office for the years 2021, 2022, and 2023. The city proudly received a Certificate of Recognition, acknowledging its distinction as the city with the highest number of Trained BHW on Barangay Health Services NC II level. Notably, Valenzuela City stands out as the only city in the National Capital Region (NCR) to boast three National Assessors and a TESDA-certified BHW NC II trainer, demonstrating its commitment to healthcare education excellence.

A highlight of the Program Implementation Review was the unveiling of Valenzuela City's Presentation Gallery, showcasing a diverse array of activities conducted by the BHW over the past years.
