A start of something new!

To make way for the school year 2024-2025, the City Government of Valenzuela, led by Mayor WES Gatchalian, warmly welcomed the students of Valenzuela City Technological College or ValTech to their newly built campus at Barangay Parada on September 9, 2024.

Starting the week fresh and anew, the newly constructed campus of Valenzuela City Technological College commenced its first flag-raising ceremony since entering the new academic year 2024-2025. Mayor WES Gatchalian and Vice Mayor Lorie Natividad-Borja personally visited and joined the students and faculty at the ceremony.

With a growing student population, ValTech (formerly known as Valenzuela City Polytechnic College) will house 3,400 students. The additional campus of ValTech is one of the city’s endeavors to accommodate more students taking technical courses while revamping the curriculum and courses offered in the college.

The Valenzuela City Technological College (ValTech), located at Kamagong St., Barangay Parada, harbors a total floor area of 13,485 sq. m, comprised of the main building (8,148 sq. m), buildings 2 to 5 (4,797 sq. m), and a covered court (540 sq. m). The campus also consisted of five (5) buildings, with 33 classrooms and overall 67 rooms available. It can also accommodate 3,500 students; with 50 students per classroom on 2 shifts.

Equipping students with an updated and improved curriculum, the new courses offered in ValTech are as follows:

  • Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd)
  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BET)

    • Major in Heating, Ventilating, Air-conditioning Technology (BETHVAC)

    • Major in Mechatronics Technology (BETMECT)

    • Major in Railway Technology (BETRT)

  • TESDA Course Offerings

The programs under ValTech’s new course offers were made possible through the City’s partnership with several technical companies, including prominent names in different industries. For instance, in light of the two (2) Mega Railway projects underway, Valenzuela City has promptly offered Railway Technology-related courses through its partnership with DOTR.

ValTech, in its promising beginnings, is a testament to the city’s vision to equip the Valenzuelano learners with quality education; transforming them to become globally competitive and prepared for the evolving demands of various industries.
