Consistency is the key!

Reaping the fruit of their hardwork and perseverance, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) – Valenzuela came off with flying colors after being recognized by the Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region (DOLE - NCR) as the Best Performing PESO in NCR 2023, held at Casa de Polo, Brgy. Poblacion, Valenzuela City, February 29.

PESO – Valenzuela obtained three out of three core function awards from bracket 3:

• Best in Referral and Placement

• Best in Labor Market Information

• Best in Career Guidance and Employment Coaching 

The Labor Market Information Award is a recognition of the department’s effective dissemination of information, including client-specific information, education, and communication tools to employers and future workers about the future labor market circumstances by occupation, in-demand positions, and skills shortages. On the other hand, the Referral and Placement plaque is for the provision of services in Valenzuela City that facilitate employment, like job fairs and partnerships with the business sector, while the Career Guidance and Employment Coaching award is for providing the people with foundational knowledge on key labor market information that job seekers can use in their job-seeking journey.

Apart from the above-mentioned recognitions, Valenzuela City’s PESO also outperformed its neighboring cities in the NCR with its exceptional performance in sending a high number of students to work with their partners from the private sector. In line with that, they’ve been given a special citation, bagging another trophy for Efficient Special for Employment of Students with the Private Sector—bannering the extensive efforts of the local government in addressing the unemployment problem in the city.

Moreover, Ms. Josephine Osea, Valenzuela PESO Manager, also received a special recognition for holding a Public Employment Service National Certificate IV, for being the first  certified PESO Manager to ever have such a certificate in the National Capital Region.

Valenzuela City has been consistent with its programs and innovations when it comes to addressing economic problems and boosting employability in the city. Furthermore, the local government opens inclusive opportunities by providing jobs locally and internationally for Pamilyang Valenzuelano, dubbed the “Mega Job Fair.”
