Preluding next year’s sesquicentennial commemoration of the birth anniversary of Dr. Pio Valenzuela, Valenzuela City’s namesake, the City gears up for this year’s 149^th week-long celebration with a series of activities underscoring the aim of making the city more progressive and liveable.. 

Dr. Pio was a member of The Triumvirate, the key leaders of the Katipunan, along with Andres bonifacio and Emilio Jacinto.  He took charge of the Ang Kalayaan, Katipunan's official publication which said to be instrumental in beefing up the membership of the organization. 

His life and heroism, and the inspiration he gives to every generation of Valenzuelanos will be honored with the traditional wreathlaying ceremonies before The Triumvirate monument at the City Hall.  It will be highlighted with the presence of Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin M. Andanar as Guest of Honor.

This year’s line up of activites include inauguration of infrastructure projects, recognition of the contribution of contituents to the progress of the city and medical caravans, among others:
