The City Government of Valenzuela has the shifting schedule vaccination for its economic frontliners planned out as early as June 12 when the local government officially started its A4 vaccination.

“By Wednesday (June 16), we will run two (2) shifts already. Mayroon kaming after-hour shift [which is from] 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Ginawa naming after office [hours] ‘yon para naman hindi naaantala ‘yung operations ng mga pabrika at kumpanya. They can send their people to us [on a] shifting [schedule],” Valenzuela City Mayor REX Gatchalian said in a statement last Saturday, June 12.

Valenzuela City has officially started vaccinating its A4 priority list specifically its economic frontliners and basic education frontliners this June 12 in its two (2) industry vaccination sites – Pasolo Elementary School for industry workers and Valenzuela City People’s Park Amphitheater for basic education frontliners or teachers.

Pasolo Elementary School already operated this June 16 in two (2) shifts. 620 individuals were inoculated from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and 685 for its after-hour shift of 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

The local government will open Justice Eliezer Delos Santos National High School in Barangay Ugong as an additional industry vaccination site on Monday, June 21, which will also operate on the same shifting schedule starting Wednesday, June 23.

Valenzuela City has majority of its industries in manufacturing, packaging, and production. With the designated industry vaccination sites in the City, appointments and vaccination for individuals under the A1 to A3 category are unhampered.

The local government also urges its city-based industries to register their employees at www.valtrace.appcase.net under “Vaccination Registration for Corporate” for their companies to be scheduled.

“The set up in our industry vaccine site is quite different, pati ‘yung operating hours niya… So tumatakbo pa rin ‘yung mga pabrika. Sa gabi paglabas ng mga iba nilang empleyado, sa gabi naman namin sila babakunahan… We just made one (1) portal, two (2) links [for vaccination registration]. Isang link para sa A1, A2, A3, or ‘yung mga indibidwal, isang link para sa mga corporations. Sila mag-register for their employees,” Mayor REX said.

The City Government of Valenzuela continues to support its industries with its vaccination campaign for its local economic frontliners. With the shifting schedule in place, industries will all be tapped to have their employees vaccinated.

Valenzuela City also calls for the gradual success of achieving herd immunity within workplaces with the City estimating its total industry labor force of around 50,000 workers. Mayor REX adds “Sa Valenzuela City… Ang target namin 50,000 employees or workers. These are blue-collared workers, sila ‘yung lifeline ng industriya sa Valenzuela… Sila ‘yung nag-ooperate ng mga makina, ng mga packaging machine para makatakbo ang ating mga pabrika.”

As of June 12, 2,391 individuals from the A4 priority list were administered with the first dose and 64 individuals were done with their second dose.

A total of 104,607 total doses were already administered by the City as of June 13.
