A more visible radiant sky!

Seizing for clearer and accident-free streets across the city, the City Government of Valenzuela worked hand-in-hand with the city’s utility providers such as Converge ICT Solutions Inc., PLDT Telecommunication Company, Manila Electric Company (Meralco), and Globe Telecom, and launched the “Oplan Linis Ganda Cable.”

“Oplan Linis Ganda Cable” is a directive of Mayor WES Gatchalian that aims to ensure road safety and part of the intensified commitment in reclaiming the public roads and highways to provide more spaces for the people and making it more accessible.

Entangled or “spaghetti wires” have been causing disturbance and growing public concerns as they are considered as threats to the safety of the residents and passers by within the area. These tangled electrical cables are also an eyesore that affect the aesthetic of the place. In line with this, the local government aims to clean the main roads and even the congested roads so that no more accidents will happen while exerting efforts in restoring the beauty of the city roads.

The said project started along MacArthur Highway, as it is the main road of the city. Currently, power cables are being contained in Barangay Marulas, Barangay Karuhatan, Barangay Malinta, and Barangay Malanday.

Until all the spaghetti wires have been removed, the operation will continue in all barangays and is expected to carry on with the road clearing in Valenzuela City. The city government seeks to finish the project as fast as they could, so as not to disturb those passing by on the roads.
