Tis the season to be jolly!
Setting the mood for holiday festivities, Valenzuela City opens this year’s Food Fiesta and Christmas Bazaar and lights the Tree of Hope 2024 on Friday, November 15, 2024.
During the full-packed week of the celebration of the city’s 401st Founding Anniversary, Mayor WES Gatchalian, with Congressman Eric Martinez, Mr. Jeff Galvez, and Ms. Janina Bautista led the ceremonial ribbon-cutting of the Food Fiesta and Christmas Bazaar 2024 at the C.J. Santos St. in Brgy. Malinta, across Valenzuela City People’s Park.

The City’s Local Economic Development and Investments Promotion Office (LEDIPO) gathered 107 local entrepreneurs (65 food business owners; and 42 non-food business owners) for this year where Valenzuelanos can enjoy a variety of foods and drinks and/or can shop for their favorite things until December 22, 2024, at:

Traversing to Valenzuela City People’s Park Aero Circle, the annual lighting of the Tree of Hope reminds the Pamilyang Valenzuelano that Christmas is just around the corner and everyone should feel the Christmas spirit. This tradition started in 2004 in front of the Valenzuela City Hall, MacArthur Highway before it was moved to the Valenzuela City People’s Park Aero Circle in 2015, to accommodate more Valenzuelanos.
For the 401st Founding Anniversary of Valenzuela City, the 45-foot-tall Christmas tree is dedicated to the industry partners and taxpayers who greatly contributed to the city’s economy. To start the night, Bitik Children’s Choir, WEScot and the Elves, and the Sugar Rush fired up the park’s Aero Circle with their impressive performances.
Joining Mayor WES were Ayala Health President Mr. Paolo Borromeo, Vice Mayor Lorie Natividad-Borja, Congressman Eric Martinez, District Programs Director of 1st Congressional District Mr. Kenneth Gatchalian, and the City Council led the countdown of lighting up the Tree of Hope, followed by a dazzling fireworks display.
Moving to the park’s Amphitheater is Industry Night 2024 where the Valenzuela’s pride, WCOPA 2024 Multi-Medalist Mr. Benedict Balagot, performed to serenade the Valenzuelanos. Also, ending the night was a swooning performance by SunKissed Lola with their hit love song, Pasilyo.
