With the vision of providing every child with hope of a brighter future, the 84^th and 85^th daycare centers of Valenzuela City located in Barangays Bignay and Veinte Reales opened its doors to Valenzuelano children, January 18, 2019.

Mayor REX Gatchalian led the inaugurations with city and barangay officials. He emphasized the importance of daycare centers in early childhood care and development, especially the need to invest in the education of the youth.

“Patuloy tayong mamumuhunan sa edukasyon ng kabataan kaya makakaasa po kayong hindi dito matatapos ang ating programang pang-edukasyon at bagkus ay dadagdagan pa natin. (We will continously invest in the education of our youth, rest assured that this will not be the end of our education programs. On the contrary, we will come up with more projects in the future.)”  the Mayor said.

Parents, teachers, and students were grateful for the facilities and were overjoyed with the additional daycare centers’ spacious design that can easily accommodate additional students, alleviating the problem of over-population in classrooms.

With the opening of the daycare centers, the populous Barangay Bignay now has 11 daycare centers, while Barangay Veinte Reales now has 2 daycare centers.

Guests who graced the event included Vice Mayor Lorena Natividad-Borja, Councilor Rovin Feliciano, Councilor Ghogo Deato Lee, and the barangays’ respective officials.

The inauguration is part of Mayor REX Gatchalian’s “Araw Ko, Alay Ko: Tuloy-tuloy ang Asenso!” weeklong birthday celebration.
