The country’s first end-to-end business permit system at only 10 seconds just got even better – now offering expanded payment options in its recent partnership with one of the largest and the most digitally advanced bank in the Philippines.

Union Bank of the Philippines or UnionBank (UB) is the first private bank partner of the City Government of Valenzuela. Valenzuela City is also the first local government partner of the bank – paving way to the norm of digitalization of transactions among local governments.

Signing the Collections Services Agreement this December 21, the agreement shall add payment options available to Valenzuela City’s Paspas Permit which can be accessed at
www.valenzuela.gov.ph under the Valenzuela City Online Services icon.

Completing the Pamaskong Handog para sa Business Community this holiday season, the new payment options with UnionBank add to the recently launched integration of the Zoning process, issuance of provisional Sanitary Permits, and online application of Health Certificates available at the Paspas Permit system.

Under the UnionBank payment option, UB account holders can easily pay for their business taxes with 0% convenience fee, while non-account holders can still pay for their taxes online using the payment gateway at the lowest local rate of only 1%. Taxpayers can also pay using their VISA/Mastercard credit card or debit bank accounts.

Apart from this, taxpayers can also pay via UnionBank Online, UnionBank Business Banking, and through other selected banks through the PCHC PayGate.

Mayor REX Gatchalian, during the signing of the agreement, further expresses his trust in UnionBank believing that the bank is “ahead in the digital banking world” and that UB joining into the picture of the Paspas Permit system is in the “perfect timing for this coming January [2021] as the biggest tax season” in Valenzuela City.

Mayor REX reminds Valenzuelanos this coming January 2021 to “Don’t fall in line, go online!” using Paspas Permit as it is now completed with new system enhancements to ensure safety and convenience and to avoid the convergence of people during the business permit renewal season at the designated payment centers.
