The City Government of Valenzuela continues to equip its in-city resettlement sites with facilities vital for community building – inaugurating a new Day Care Center in Disiplina Village Lingunan (DVL) this February 18 as part of its 23rd Charter Day celebration.

Disiplina Village Lingunan is the third in-city resettlement site in Valenzuela City. Last October 15, 2020, the City Government transfers 164 families to the resettlement site, rescuing Informal Settler Families (ISFs) residing in danger zones or disaster-prone areas in the City.

Breaking the stigma of relocation, Mayor REX Gatchalian affirms that the City welcomes its Disiplina Village residents with a better and livable community as the local government continues to invest in the facilities to support their needs.

Tulad ng lagi nating panata, ‘Sa Valenzuela City, walang naiiwanan,” Mayor REX said.

Valenzuela City Vice Mayor and Education Champion Lorie Natividad-Borja also ensures the residents of the importance of day care centers and announces that there would be another day care center to be constructed inside DVL.

The new Day Care Center will provide every student with the hope of a brighter future assisting them and realizing their full potential -- helping them become well-rounded individuals who can contribute to the society. This new facility will be used once restrictions are lifted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The inauguration is also attended by Liga ng mga Barangay President Jonjon Bartolome, SK Federation President Goyong Serano, and officials from DVL and Barangay Lingunan.

Vice Mayor Natividad-Borja also greets the City as it celebrates its 23rd Charter Day, saying “Ang patuloy na pag-asenso ng ating lungsod ay dala ng pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan nating mga Valenzuelano.
