Amid weather conditions and the COVID-19 situation, Valenzuela City is unstoppable for bringing City Hall annexes near to its residents through the completion and official opening of its 23rd Sentro ng Sama-Samang Serbisyo (3S) Center in Barangay Paso de Blas, July 30.
The event started with Rev. Fr. Joseph Franz T. Dizon of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish blessing the 3S Center followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and unveiling of building marker led by Mayor REX Gatchalian.
The latest 3S Center is a three-storey building with a sizable Barangay Office, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Office, Health Center, Lying-in Clinic, Police Community Precinct, Daycare Center, ALS Center, and a Multi-Purpose Hall.
This “little city hall” is designed to bring the city government’s services closer to communities. It aims to provide efficient provision of various government services and increase people’s participation in governance. 3S Centers also stand as the “peripheral nerves” of the city government in times of disasters and emergencies.
With the emerging needs to be delivered efficiently and promptly for pandemic and emergency response, Valenzuelanos can easily receive direct assistance from the City Government of Valenzuela through its 3S Centers. Now, residents from Barangay Paso de Blas can now access the services of the local government through its very own 3S Center.
The Inauguration and Blessing of 3S Center Paso de Blas is the last activity in the month of July in celebration of the 152nd Birth Anniversary of Dr. Pio Valenzuela.
Also in attendance were Vice Mayor Lorena Natividad-Borja, City Councilors Chiqui Carreon, Niña Shiela B. Lopez, Louie Nolasco, Jonjon Bartolome, and former Councilor Lai Nolasco, and Barangay Paso de Blas SK Council headed by Chairman Danica Balbag.
