For the last time before he steps down as mayor, City Mayor REX pays off all the hard work of the Valenzuelano who contributed to the utmost progress of the City by giving a dinner tribute to its 2021 Top Taxpayers, Top Job Providers, Topnotcher, Bar Passers, and PMA Graduates, at ALERT Center, Multi-purpose Hall, June 17.

Held annually since 2005, the event aims to honor the Top Taxpayers and Top Job Providers for 2021. They are the companies that religiously pay the highest business taxes, and who receives the highest number of job referrals from the Local Public Employment Office (PESO). During the pandemic, the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) and PESO personally handed the trophies and awards to the winning companies of 2019 and 2020 Top Tax Payers and Top Job Providers.

(We are Valenzuela City today because of you, because of the taxes you pay, because of your corporate social responsibility, because of the job employment you provided. You made our city alive, by the tax you pay. You are the reason why our workers have food on their table, because of the employment you provided.)

The Top Job Provider Award categories are Direct Hire Companies within Valenzuela, Direct Hire Companies Outside Valenzuela, Job Providers in Relation to the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) Program, and Special Awards in different areas.

The Top Taxpayers, on the other hand, are classified to four categories based on the taxes paid per scale of business: (1) Micro Scale Category, for companies with up to PhP 3 million in assets; (2) Small Scale Category, for those with assets worth more than PhP 3 million to PhP 15 million; (3) Medium Scale Category for companies with more than PhP 15 million to PhP 100 million, and (4) Large Scale Category, for those with assets above PhP 100 million.
