Important services are now closer and within reach of the residents of Barangay Mapulang Lupa with the inauguration of their very own Sentro ng Sama-samang Serbisyo or 3S Center on July 22, as part of the City Government’s continuous effort in creating a more convenient and efficient life for all Valenzuelanos.

The 25^th 3S Center is a two-story building which houses the barangay office, mega health center, daycare center, ALS (Alternative Learning System) Center, SK (Sangguniang Kabataan) Office, multipurpose hall, e-library, police community precinct and a tricycle terminal.

The creation of these 3S Centers is part of the local government’s mission in creating integrated government facilities which aims to make a more efficient lifestyle for the people of Valenzuela. With this, the city government will continue to pursue the creation of more 3S Centers in different areas of the city as long as there are Valenzuelanos who need its services.

In his message, Mayor WES Gatchalian said “Hindi dito natatapos ang ating mga magagandang proyekto. Itatayo rin natin ang eskwelahan, covered court at daycare center. Magsilbi sana itong simbolo ng pagbabago at leadership ng inyong barangay at ng ating lokal na pamahalaan, kaya’t sa lahat ng magtatrabaho dito, sana’y pagbutihin ninyo ang pamamalakad ng 3S Center na ito, mahalin at pangalagaan niyo ito dahil ito ang magsisilbing patunay ng quality ng inyong paglilingkod bilang isang barangay.”   [Our progressive projects will not end here, we will continue building schools, covered courts and daycare centers. May this event be a symbol of change and leadership of your barangay and our local government. So, for those who will be working here, I hope you make good use of this 3S Center. Protect this because this will be your proof of the quality of service you provide as a barangay.]

Congressman REX Gatchalian, on the other hand, said “Ang mga 3S Centers ay parang mga cellphones, mas nahuhuli ay mas kumpleto at mas maganda. Ngayon, sa pagbubukas ng 3S Center na ito, maraming problema ang nasolusyonan, mga nakabalagbag na trycicle, nangungupahang daycare center, ngayon ay makakalipat na dito.” [These 3S Centers are like smartphones, the later, the better, the more advanced. Now, with the opening of this 3S Center many problems were solved, those tricycles which were formerly parked anywhere, that rented daycare center can finally move in this facility.]

Joining Mayor WES and Congressman REX during the ceremony are Vice Mayor Lorie Natividad-Borja, Kapitan Arnold Natividad, SK Chairwoman Precious Anne Candido, together with other city and barangay officials.

The blessing of the 3S Center Mapulang Lupa was officiated by Rev. Fr. Dennis Espejo.

3S Center Canumay West is scheduled to be inaugurated on the 28^th of July this year, while 3S Center Palasan is expected to be inaugurated by the end of the year.
