The activity gathered close to 2,000 Zumba enthusiasts from the 33 barangays in the City. As part of Mayor WES Gatchalian’s birthday celebration this year, the mega event is set to become an annual activity due to its tremendous success. |

BIRTHDAY WELLNESS CELEBRATION

Close to 2000 Zumba enthusiasts from different barangays in Valenzuela City gather in the 2022 Mega Zumba held at WES Arena, Barangay Punturin in celebration of Mayor WES Gatchalian’s birthday, August 13.
Mega Zumba is a full-body workout with fun dance choreography that promotes health fitness and wellness to every Valenzuelano Zumba enthusiast.
Mayor WES Gatchalian expressed his delight to every Valenzuelano who joined the Mega Zumba, “Ako po ay nagpapasalamat dahil napaunlakan ninyo ako ng inyong mga oras para magcelebrate ng aking birthday. At ako’y tuwang tuwa dahil nakikita ko halos punong puno ang WES Arena, at isang karangalan na makapiling ko ang mga Zumba groups sa Valenzuela.” ("I am grateful because you accommodated me with your time to celebrate my birthday. And I'm very happy because I see the WES Arena almost full, and it's an honor to be with the Zumbrea groups in Valenzuela."
Attended by all 33 barangays, almost Zumba-goers who gathered in groups were thrilled to see Jopay and Joshua Zamora. The celebrity dance couple that Mayor WES invited to lead the Mega Zumba as a treat to every Zumba goers.
Valenzuela Zumba instructors from districts 1 and 2 have prepared exuberant routines alternating with the Zamoras to ignite the energy among the participants.
Further, Mayor WES also prepared raffle prizes for participants. Some were fortunate to take home an Android TV, a Smart Phone, and Bikes. Two lucky attendees were also awarded “Mayor’s Pick” and received Php 2,000 each.
Sharing the stage while sweating out happy hormones with the Zamoras were Mayoress Tiffany Gatchalian, Vice Mayor Lorie Natividad Borja, Councilor Chiqui Carreon, Sel Sabin-Sy, Niña Lopez, Mickey Pineda, and former Councilor Lai Nolasco.
The 2022 Mega Zumba was organized by Valenzuela City Sports Development Office with the assistance from Valenzuela Zumba Instructors Elloraine dela Cruz and Kristine Calixto. It is set to become a staple part of activities lined up for Mayor WES Gatchalian’s annual birthday celebration.
