Setting up a platform where motorbike enthusiasts in the city can gather and talk about their mutual interests in engines and motor stuff, the City Government of Valenzuela through Mayor WES Gatchalian and former Councilor Tyson Sy, held the first-ever Motorbike Festival at Puregold Parking Grounds, Barangay Dalandanan, on June 22.
Various groups of motorcyclists and motorbike enthusiasts in Valenzuela and nearby cities came together, bringing their loudest, highest-powered, and top-of-the-line customized bikes of all types. Aside from motorbike displays and exhibits, the event also showcased different motorbike gear and accessory brands. Moreover, moto-vloggers and collectors joined the event to check out the lined-up vintage and futuristic bikes.
Alongside the motor exhibit, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Valenzuela held a successful job fair with 800 new job opportunities for the Valenzuelano job seekers, most vacancies are intended for motorcycle delivery riders. 374 walk-in applicants flocked the job pool, of whom 244 were hired on the spot, and 176 applicants were hired by Move It. The remaining 68 applicants were accepted by Valenzuela-based manufacturing companies such as Dunkin’ Donuts, CDO Foodsphere, and Suncrest Food Inc. Additionally, companies related to motorcycles, such as Angkas Transport Company, Pilipinas Messerve Inc., and EVO x Team Graphitee, also participated in the job fair.
Meanwhile, the main raffle draw from the motorfest event, where two lucky winners won a VESPA motorbike and an upscale electric bike (e-bike), was one of the event's anticipated highlights.
The said one-day motorfest was sponsored by MOTUL, Aprilia SRGT, Triumph, Vespa, Team Graphitee, PureGold, Clean Fuel, 747 Motoshop, Wheeltek, Kawasaki, Angkas, WilOil, Pro Parts, 10ACT, DANS, Norte, Triple A, Vice Ap, EVO, and JRP Racing Product Thailand.
