Aiding students with their needs as the new school year approaches, the City of Valenzuela gives out free school uniforms and school kits to approximately 80,000 public elementary school students from Kinder to Grade 6 including ALS and SPED students, on July 18, 2024.

With the new school year starting this July 29, the City Government of Valenzuela ensures that the kinder to elementary students of forty-two (42) public schools are all set by providing free school uniforms and school kits beforehand. Approximately, 80,000 public elementary students, including students of Alternative Learning System (ALS) and Special Education (SPED), are the beneficiaries of the said uniforms and kits.

Each student will receive two (2) sets of school uniforms and a school kit of their corresponding grade level. A set features a white polo and blue pants or shorts for boys, and a white blouse and blue plaid skirt for girls. On the other hand, the Valenzuela school kit contains the following:

• 8 notebooks with Math Worktext and Writing Book (Grade 1)

• 8 notebooks with Math Worktext and English Worktext (Grade 2 - Grade 3)

• Lunchbox with spoon and fork

• 500ml Water Tumbler

School Kit with Backpack for Grade 4/Grade 5/Grade 6

Alongside, the total budget allocation of the City Government amounted to Php 100 million for school kits and Php 77 million for school uniforms, respectively.

The free uniforms and school kits distribution started on July 16 at 42 public elementary schools and will end on July 27.
