To intensify its efforts to encourage Valenzuelanos to go digital even with their job application, the City Government revives its very own job-matching website, www.ValenzuelaTrabaho.gov.ph.

The relaunch of Valenzuela Trabaho is very timely as millions nationwide have been rendered unemployed by the economic lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Conceptualized and introduced by the City through its Job Generation Office (JGO) and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in 2014, the website endeavors to connect jobseekers with employers and vice versa.  It is, however, exclusively for jobseekers who reside in Valenzuela City but it is open to employers regardless whether their business is located within the vicinity of the city or not.

The new and improved Valenzuela Trabaho job portal promises to make job posting and hunting a very pleasant and hassle-free experience for both employers and job seekers alike.

Those looking for a job can register on the website and wait for their accounts to be activated within 24 hours and begin job hunting immediately after. Once a jobseeker clicks “apply” on a job ad, his or her profile is automatically forwarded to the employer.

Employers are also required to register their companies and provide all necessary information before posting their job openings.

A job ad is posted in real-time with the latest ad listed first. An ad can be posted for a maximum of three (3) months, after which it will be deleted if it is not closed or removed by the employer.

Unlike its predecessor, ValenzuelaTrabaho.gov.ph now has a mobile responsive design. This type of design allows the layout to change according to the size of the screen of the mobile device being used for easier browsing and navigation.

More importantly, it has a filtered job advertisement feature to help the jobseekers streamline their search and determine which job offer fits their credentials.

Jobseekers can choose occupations listed under 11 job categories, namely: industrial and engineering, office and clerical, automotive jobs, accounting and finance, health care, telecommunications, education training, restaurant/food service, construction/facilities, sales and marketing, and technology. There is also a category for Valenzuela City Hall job openings.

Aside from matching a prospective employer with a jobseeker based on their credentials, the job portal also offers members-only privileges like automatic invitation to job fairs, free seminars and trainings, and email and mobile notification of application status.

For inquiries regarding the Valenzuela Trabaho job portal, please contact the JGO (8352-1000 local 1215) or PESO (local 1710) or visit www.valenzuelatrabaho.gov.ph.
